I made a socials project about ancient civilizations for school. My Partner and I ( His name is kyle and I will post a link to his website below) chose Ancient Greece and Rome. We had a few problems and here they are: We could not meet up out of school at all, we had trouble with dividing and sending each other information and have the "script" read and memorized in time and communicating about what goes on the presentation and what we say out loud because in my opinion having a "skeleton" on the presentation and the main info said out loud is better because otherwise the audience could read off the poster board or power point. We also had a problem where in the end the stuff that i mmorized was read out by my partner kyle and the parts I memorized were read by him.
The most important thing I learned this project was probably about the Greece and Rome government because it showed me how life was was controlled and ruled back then. I think our greece part of the project was more detailed then our Rome part because information on Greece was easier to come buy then Information on Rome.
The way my partner and I went above and beyond in our learning is including 2 ancient civilizations and tying them both together. The main way we did this is with the fact that their religion is the same with the same gods just with different name and with either more aggressive personalities or with nicer. We also had many topics on Greece and Rome and I personally believe we did great. I also think we went above and beyond because we thought that we knew a lot about Greece and Rome from a series we read but we learned a lot. For example I never knew that there were three different main types of columns called Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian.
