Have you ever heard about or seen a debate about s new artifact that is being fought over by museums, people who found it, countries it was found in or someone else? Well I have and I have mixed feelings about this. I do support both sides of the argument and I think both are great. So lets get crackin'!
I think That museums should keep artifacts because more people could see it because museums are usually busey with people looking at historical artifacts or pictures or things like that. They have resources for studies and they do have good conditions. But the "owner" or the people who found it also have a point to why they should keep an artifact. The "owner" Should have rights to it because maybe the artifact in question is a family or spiritual heirloom or a long lost item. Maybe it could be a real human that was a lost family member. A lot of people I have spoken to have said "well, the museum has resources and the owner does not". Well, that is not necessarily true. Maybe the owner is in fact a scientist with all the necessary items, conditions, and knowledge to study the artifact just as well as the museum. Maye the owner is someone with enough money to fund ll of this research. Maybe the owner just simply does not trust the museum with the artifact and would rather it would be with a museum or group the "owner" trusted. Also it could be that the item in question has questions that can only be answered by religion and not by science. And the knowledge related with this artifact could be possessed by the "owner". Also doesn't the "owner" have a right to know where he/she's belonging are and whom they are possessed by?
So there are so many points to why each group should have an artifact and I have only listed some. If you have any other things or have a different opinion please do not hesitate to say so in the comments. I would love to reply and read your ideas and opinions!
Thank you so much for reading and have a wonderful day! :D
